The dining table: the centerpiece of your living room

The dining table is often a source of conviviality. It's the hub of the home where everyone comes together to eat, chat, play games, have a drink and more. As the radiant centerpiece of the living room, the dining table offers an inviting and versatile addition to your living space. With its prominent position in the interior, the dining table creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making it a perfect place to make precious memories and share precious moments. Whether celebrating special occasions or everyday gatherings, the dining table is an essential part of your living space.

The different types of industrial-home dining tables

Families differ, as do wants and needs. That is why we offer different types and sizes of dining tables in our range. For example, you can choose from the different shapes:

Rectangular dining tables
The most popular dining table remains the rectangular table. It offers a lot of space for placing things on the table. For example, think of all the goodies for dinner, a nice vase, school supplies or other home accessories. You also always have enough space to add an extra chair.

Round dining tables
Our round dining tables have a modern look and fit into a variety of interiors due to the subtle designs. We notice that round dining tables are becoming increasingly popular. A big advantage of a round dining table is that they fit well in smaller spaces. In addition, you can easily make contact with everyone and add an extra chair. This way you create more seating areas in a smaller area. Do you have children running around the house? Due to the lack of points, you no longer have to worry about them bumping into this.

Oval dining tables
Are you in doubt between a rectangular and round table? Then choose a oval table! This way you have the advantages of both tables. It takes up less space, but retains the cosiness. You are also flexible in the number of seats. In addition, the shape is child-friendly and gives a playful effect, because the table contains no points and you break through most square and rectangular shapes in the house.

Square dining tables
Also a square dining table is space-saving and suitable for small spaces. Moreover, it can often accommodate just as many people as with a rectangular table. In addition, everyone can easily access everything. Ideal while eating, having a drink or while playing a game! By placing one of the sides against the wall, you can make it a cozy, cozy place.

Different patterns, sizes and tabletop thicknesses of our tables

In addition to different shapes, you can also choose from various patterns, sizes and tabletop thicknesses:

Pattern: Hungarian point
Would you like to give a playful effect to your table? Then go for a Hungarian point cartridge! Because not everything is straightforward, you create a vibrant look. It is a visually appealing pattern and creates a sense of elegance and sophistication.

Pattern: Herringbone double and single
A variant of the Hungarian point is the herringbone. Just as elegant, yet slightly different and very popular. This is because the slices lie at an angle of 90 degrees at the end, so that the lines are slanted and perpendicular to each other.

This is how the pattern is built. It is a classic pattern and creates a sense of symmetry. You can further personalize this by choosing from a only or double herringbone.

Different sizes, also large tables
At Industrial-Home you have a wide choice when it comes to the dimensions of your table. Did you know that we are one of the few that can supply large oak tables? You can also contact Industrial-Home for a new conference table for the office, a large long dining table for the living room or, for example, a conference table for meetings and conferences.

Tabletop thickness
The thickness of a table top has a major influence on the appearance of your table. For example, go for a table top of 2 centimeters for a subtle look, an accessible look with a table top of 4 centimeters or create a robust look with a table top of 8 centimeters. Each leaf has its advantages and in its own way gives a sense of traditional craftsmanship and high-quality design.

Styling a dining table: tips & tricks

Styling a dining table in combination with the rest of your interior is within reach. The color and finish of the dining table can best match your interior. Do you have a lot of eye-catching accessories? Then a dining table with a matte finish is something for you. Within a quieter environment with a cast floor, you can, for example, opt for a herringbone table top to create a warm atmosphere. A solid wood table with a thick top is heavy and robust and fits well in a rustic environment. An oval dining table with a thin top and steel base, in turn, fits well in a subtle Scandinavian interior. You can go in many directions with a table.

The type of base depends on the shape of the tabletop, your own taste, the floor and how many chairs you want to add. For example, are you going for a wooden base and do you also have a wooden floor? Then a rug is a good option to subtly separate it from each other.

You can of course look for a dining table with your chairs or vice versa. If you're not sure yet, check it out here first all our (dining room) chairs. This way you immediately know whether you can combine an Industrial-Home dining table with a matching dining room chair.

The most frequently asked questions about our dining tables

How do I give my new dining table more atmosphere with accessories?

Home accessories, as well relief, can bring a dining table to life even more than the table itself does. Think of a beautiful table runner or placemats to add color. Vases with flowers, candles or decorative bowls can also create a cozy atmosphere. Don't forget that personal items such as photos or souvenirs can also be a nice addition. Would you rather have a table in your room that looks 'clean' when standing? In that case, for example, choose a simple bowl or candlestick in the middle of the table and limit the rest of the accessories on your table.

How does delivery work with assembly for the dining tables?

When you order your new table, you have the option to choose delivery with assembly. In this case, two men will bring the table inside and assemble it (ground floor only, over the threshold, not via stairs) for you. Curious about how delivery and installation works at Industrial-Home? Then visit us shipping and delivery page.

What are the delivery times for your dining tables?

We allow 7-8 weeks for delivery for our dining tables. Please note: this is a guideline. We also have several quickly available dining tables on our website, which will be delivered within three weeks. These are here to find.

How do I maintain my dining table?

The maintenance of your dining table depends on the material. For wooden tables, regular dusting and wiping with a damp cloth is the minimum you can/must do. Do you want to maintain the table better, so that it lasts even longer? Then take a look at our maintenance products such as Skylt lacquer. It is advisable to refinish your oak table every 2-3 years (depending on use) with a layer of Skylt lacquer. This way your table will always look beautiful.

Which dining table in a small room?

For a small room, it is best to choose a compact table with a slim design. Consider, for example, a thinner table top/base. A round table or oval table can be space-saving because they have no corners and therefore look smaller. However, a compact rectangular table can also be useful, as you can place it against the wall. In this case, choose a table that looks slim.

How do I choose my new dining table?

First look at the space you have available and how many people will regularly be sitting at the table. This way you can estimate what size you need. Then choose a style that matches the rest of your interior and also consider the material and shape of the table. Consider practical considerations such as durability and ease of maintenance, but also the fact that a round table is more child-friendly (no sharp points) than a rectangular table.
