These fluorescent lamps were produced in 1989 in East Germany by VEB Leuchtenbau Wittenberg.
This lamp has an airtight design with a centimeter thick borosilicate glass and two new fluorescent tubes (warm white). The thick glass made this lamp suitable for use in explosion-prone areas. These lights were often used in places such as laboratories and chemical plants. This model is relatively rare due to its size that only uses two 18W fluorescent bulbs.
The state-owned company may have been better known as Paul Mrosek KG, its namesake is a pioneer of industrial fluorescent lighting. His products are very utilitarian and beautifully designed
